I hate slow automatic doors.
Out way too late for a Wednesday night.
@thelongbrake neti pots are exhilirating!
Apparently the idea is to just float down the James river for an extended period of time.
I think I'm on the brink of a quarter-life crisis.
"The Lemur is the first controller ever to enable you to design the appropriate interface that will precisely fit your needs, fit your hands and your idea of how a controller should work. At last, you can create your own interface, fitting your needs, whatever the software is you wish to control."

Just overheard: "I'm not gonna be a cartographer!"
"Traffickers" by The Reflecting Skin is my new favorite song to run to.
American Apparel is now selling a long sleeve button-up oxford shirt. It's official...my torso can be covered in American Apparel every single day. Hopefully it will be available in more colors soon.
"Vimeo just broke a major personal record - 1,007,116 videos played in 24 hours." I don't use Vimeo incredibly often (I just don't make that many videos), but I'm definitely a fan. Those guys deserve the success they're now getting.
I added 'Then It Happened' by Milosh to my Muxtape
I should be in bed right now...but I'm absolutely mesmerized by this song. I can't belive I hadn't heard of Milosh before.
Well, except for when they actually come on stage I guess.
I'm in new York city waiting for Sigur Ros to come on stage. Doesnt get much better than this.

"I think each photographer has a point of view and a way of looking at the world... that has to do with your subject matter and how you choose to present it. What's interesting is letting people tell you about themselves in the picture."
I guess I'll have to wait to see one in person before passing judgment on the new iPhone, but I'm really not a fan of glossy plastic.
Just got home from the show. Ears are ringing really badly, and I'm really tired, but man was it worth it.
heading up to DC to see M83. Incredibly excited.
A pretty awesome looking compact 1080i HD video camera. Among its' features: image stabilization, 10x optical zoom, face detection technology, and 60 frames per second recording.

"I would rather be the first painter of common things than second in higher art."
I added 'Glitter Pills' by Health to my Muxtape
I added 'Swords Of Truth' by These New Puritans to my Muxtape
This is a ridiculous project a couple friends and I started working on a few months ago. I thought it was incredibly funny for about 4 days, then I got tired of it. Maybe it's worth a second go-round? If you want to make your own "wingscene," send it to the address at the top of the site and I'll be happy to post it.
While we're on the subject of brother's websites which I built. Check out the super basic site for my other brother, Matt's, screen printed posters. An updated and more fully fleshed out site is in the works for him...sometime...I swear.
I just realized that I don't think I've mentioned this before. My brother, Tim, has a photo blog that I would say is worth your time to check out. At the very least, you need to see the photos in the "about" section. I designed the site for him a while ago...so don't blame him for that.
Timely
If you've got a hankering for more time-based-blog presentation (oohhh, I should get that trademarked), feel free to check out my original timeline, which I ended up scrapping after like two weeks.

I'm not sure why I abandoned it. I liked the idea originally, I thought it was interesting and different, but I guess I ended up thinking it was a bit too much and really not practical.

P.S. I don't normally use words like 'hankering.'
One of my favorite things about this internet wonderland we live in is that it's now actually possible to find well designed men's clothing (without having to live in New York City...or Europe). Topman has a great collection of classy clothes for dudes.
Man that was some ridiculous thunder in the middle of the night. I thought we were under attack.
I added 'You Are Free' by Mates of State to my Muxtape
Thanks for the link-love and all the positive comments, everyone.
Ellen Allien recently released her fourth solo album: Sool. Though she's always been (in my opinion, wrongly) wrapped in the 'minimal' label, this album is the epitome of minimal. The link is to the Pitchfork review.
Permalinks?
Nothing like a sudden influx of traffic to inspire me to finish up the detail work I had been neglecting. There's now permalinks displayed on each entry, just hover over the entry and it will appear below it. Probably doesn't work in IE...and it's probably going to stay that way.

Now...what else have I been forgetting?
I did something silly and broke my RSS feed, but it's working again...mostly. http://wewillbeok.com/feedme

You can buy an OLED TV from Sony right now, with a contrast ratio of greater than a million to one. The future is upon us! ...oh yeah, and it's $2,500 for 11 diagonal inches.
It doesn't matter how hot it is, pretty much the only time you'll ever catch me wearing shorts will involve some sporting activity.
A swim mask with a 5 megapixel camera built in. Pretty clever.
Just got home from Chicago. What a crazy weekend. Not exactly looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning.
[...] For example, they could change each individual note of a guitar chord, or fix one wrong note played by a musician in a symphony orchestra. It?s like Photoshop for music. [...]
Randall Roberts at the LA Weekly crunched all the data for bands in the 2008 lineup for the Coachella music fest. Excel spreadsheets in turn generated charts and graphs based on gender of lead singer, ethnicity of artists, YouTube hits, Pitchfork ratings,
Pretty genius idea. This would look incredible in many different patterns.
found a scar on my hand this morning that I don't think I've ever seen before. Weird.
Obviously I'm not the only one who wants variables in CSS. Hopefully we'll see something like this making it's way into browsers in the near future.
After a few moments in the anechoic chamber, you’ll begin to feel a touch jumpy. Hearing your heart beat, your blood pulse, the sound of your own ear buzzing and your body functioning like you’ve never heard before has a tendency to be a bit unnerving.

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
I had pretty much the most nerd-tastic night ever last night. I'm too embarrassed to even say what I was doing.
ch ch ch changes

So I decided to remove songs I've listened to from the site, I think they would just create too much clutter, especially on a day where I'm working from home and listening to music the whole time. Now the only songs listed are when I add a song to my Muxtape.

Also, I'm now pulling in other people's photos from flickr that I've marked as favorites. Those are differentiated from my photos by displaying as a tiny thumbnail of the photo instead of a red block. The author of the photo is also attributed in the title, and the permalink just links to the flickr page for that photo.

"Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative."
Wool felt with leather card/cash pocket. I'm totally getting one of these, all I would need to carry out with me is this and my keys, which sounds fantastic.

"It would be interesting if the standards of Truth in Advertising were applied to television news as they sometimes are to television commercials. In that unlikely situation, TV news writers would be required to use phrases and words that convey accurate information – as opposed to the phrases and words they use today."

I added 'Y' by Takahiro Kido to my Muxtape
haha, I just saw a screenshot of my site in IE6. I'm not even gonna bother.
I was skeptical of this at first, but with an exclusive Radiohead performance and the premiere of the new M83 music video, I'd say they're off to a good start.

"Information must be moved and consumed continuously. That is the price to be paid for speed-of-light transmission. What the information may be is of no consequence, as long as it is attention-getting, and does not inhibit the flow of new information coming fast behind it."
One More Time, With Feeling

Yes I realize how ridiculous it is to not have anything up for several months then to basically completely rebuild the site twice over a couple weeks. But the other day I decided that I wanted to try revisting the 'timeline blog' idea I had a while ago because I thought this tumblelog format would be conducive to such a display.

So here it is: a timeline of the past week in my digital life. The timestamps on each entry are permalinks and now there's comment forms on each permalink. There's an RSS feed available (http://www.wewillbeok.com/feedme) which doesn't contain any of the last.fm songs, because I figured that would just be clutter.

Like always, there's a few things I need to clean up or am thinking about tweaking. So feel free to let me know what you think, and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Watching the new episode of Battlestar Galactica which I downloaded via torrent and am streaming to my Playstation 3. Man I love technology.
http://www.wewillbeok.com relaunch number 2. The first relaunch version lasted a full week! I have a problem.
there is way too much hair on top of my head. I'm getting rid of it today.
No gym this morning. Got a call and had to go into work early because of some shenanigans that ended up just 'fixing itself.'
